Bowdlerized

I do not remember any outrageous situation in which I was the cause, but if I have experienced a somewhat offensive situation. As it is the verbal harassment. 

Around two years ago, I was going to the ice cream shop with a friend who lived very close to the house, but around 50 meters before the ice cream shop, a neighbor was building a house; therefore,  there we're many men there.  And it was terrible to walking in that area. But we wanted to eat ice cream. So when we we're going through construction, we didn't pay attention to those men and walked faster,  but  they started whistling and saying compliments which were very disrespectful. But we kepts walking and tried to ignore the comments so as not to get angry, which was very hard. But seconds later, a older man reprimanded the workers for disrespect.  We heard what the older man said and we felt a relief, since the words of those men we're really offensive and outrageous. Actually after that, he come to us and apologized it.  I don't know if he wanted to look good or not, but we accepted the apologies, and we decided to go home,  but we ran into with a neighbor that had been witness of the event , and she told us that the same thing had happened to her, and I told her that I had heard that a neighbor had complained about it.  And surprisely , she told us she was the neighbor whose had filed the harassment complaint. And I realized that she was the brave woman about whom a friend had told me. And at the end, she said something very important: you can go wherever place you want,  you don't have to feel fear for anything. That one is a very common experience that unfortunately the woman daily lived.
